About FTP rate settings and spreads for GL
The Save FTP to MGTGL utility aggregates instrument-level FTP results up to the General Ledger (GL) account and department level to calculate a weighted average FTP rate by GL account. The weighted average FTP rate is applied to GL average balances. Additionally, this utility calculates FTP on other assets, other liabilities, and equity accounts.
The aggregated periodic and annualized FTP amounts are then saved to a management GL table. The periodic and annualized FTP amounts are saved as FTP and ANNFTP data types, respectively. By default, the Save FTP to MGTGL utility uses the maximum YRMO Year and Month. value that it finds in the InstModelStg table to determine which management GL table column to save FTP records to. The Settings sheet of this utility also has a YRMO override that you can use to perform saves to other management GL table columns.
The only setting in this utility that requires post-implementation configuration is defining the FTP offset department. This is the department number to which FTP offset amounts are saved so that FTP amounts that are posted to the management GL table net to zero. Follow the instructions below to set this configuration.
